On this premiere episode, we have a conversation with Grand Ole Opry member and host of the show, Lorrie Morgan, as she discusses the ins and outs of the music business, her career, and that of her friends, contemporaries, and family members, all sharing their memories. We even get a phone call from Lorrie's son, Jesse Keith Whitley.
Episode 2: Interview with Nancy Jones
Forty years ago, Nancy Sepulvado married legendary Country music singer George Jones, and her life for the next 30 years would never be the same after that.
On this special episode today, Lorrie Morgan interviews Nancy Jones in the home that she and George shared, and talks about her life with George, what it was like to be on the road (and on the farm) with her husband, how she handled the demons he constantly fought with regards to his drinking and drug abuse, and the crash that nearly killed him, and how that saved their marriage, and changed George's life forever.
Nancy is now releasing her book, "Playin' Possum: My Memories of George Jones", where she shares that life, how she battled Covid (which nearly killed her), how her faith kept her strong during the trying times, and her mission to remind people that George Jones was one of Country Music's greatest entertainers.
Episode 3: Interview with Pam Tillis
On this episode, Lorrie Morgan shares the microphone with her dear friend Pam Tillis. The conversation goes from dealing with allergies, touring together as the “Grits & Glamour” tour, and Pam sharing stories about her dad, what it was like to be a single parent, and a woman working in the music business. They also talk about their fans, and how Lorrie and Pam entertain themselves on the road, and along the way their audience gets to see some of that humor (including a certain hot dog costume… and a couple wigs), all the while sharing a glass (or two) of wine in the studio during the conversation.
Episode 4: Christmas Time Is Here
It’s Christmas time at the Lorrie Morgan household, and we can’t think of a better way to share this, than to have Lorrie and her two kids, Jessie Keith Whitley, and Morgan Whitley in the studio with her. They share their holiday memories (not only Christmas, but some Halloween memories too), what it was like growing up in the Lorrie Morgan Home during the holidays, and some very funny childhood stories, along with an impersonation (or two) by Jessie.
